Hi everyone! I am so excited about having a food blog because I absolutely love food and anything related to it. I love to bake and always seem to have room for dessert. Well, it doesn’t have to be dessert – if there is food in front of me, I will eat it! Actually, it is not as bad as it sounds. I eat healthy about 90 percent of the time, avoiding preservatives, additives, trans fat, hydrogenated oil, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, and artificial sweeteners. However, even though I cut out a lot of bad stuff and eat pretty nutritious foods, I still need to work on my health since I only exercise once in a blue moon.
I hope to use this blog as motivation to start and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I will record and post photos of my breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, to see if I am getting enough fruits, veggies, whole grains, etc. each day. Since I do not have a gym membership, my exercise will probably just consist of daily walks around the neighborhood. I will also probably buy some fitness videos and work out at home when it is rainy outside.
This blog will also motivate me to try out new recipes, since I can share my results and reactions with others and receive reader input. I really need to expand my skills in the kitchen and my collection of recipes since I have never really tried my hand at main dishes (all that time was spent making desserts!).
