New Food, New Exercise

Hello everyone!  Hope you all had a nice day!

For today’s breakfast, I had something new - steel cut oats.

Then I topped the oatmeal with pomegranate seeds!

I only ate about 1/4 of the oatmeal – I think I just need to get used to the texture of steel cut oats since the texture is different from rolled oats.  Steel cut oats are a lot smaller and crispier than rolled oats.

I think I prefer the texture of rolled oats, but we shall see.

I did, however, eat all the pomegranate seeds :)   Plus, I had 1 1/2 glasses of apple cider!  It was such a nice treat!

Lunch: 2 slices of cheese pizza!  Yum!

Snack: Lindt truffles!  Double yum!

Another Snack: A small bowl of pomegranate seeds.  (The picture below is of the container of pomegranate seeds, not of the actual amount that I ate, since I didn’t take a picture of it).

Best Snack Ever!  But to make it even more nutritious and fun, I would eat a few slices of cheese along with it for the calcium and protein!

Later on I made a fellow blogger’s BSI recipe.  It didn’t turn out like it was supposed to – I think I must have skipped a step, so I’m going to try it again some other time.

The best part of my day was trying out a new form of exercise – yoga! Woohoo!  I have never tried yoga before, so I was really excited to see how it would go.  I only did 20 minutes of a yoga video, but thought it was fun.  I’ll definitely try to do a little bit every day.   I also did a couple minutes of a pilates video (never tried it before, but, it too, was fun!), plus a few push-ups and sit-ups as well!

After exercise, I had some dinner.

Pork with onions, broccoli, rice with gravy and onions

Apparently my eyes were bigger than my stomach!  I pretty much ate all the broccoli, and finished off about 3/4 of the pork and rice.

All in all, an absolutely fabulous day!  Yay :)

Talk to you all tomorrow!
